Hatam Hamdan Al-Azawi, formerly a close associate of Saddam Hussein, served as the head of Saddam's presidential administration. Al-Azawi obtained a fraudulent diplomatic passport and fled to Syria after the fall of the Iraqi regime. Al-Azawi worked to reconstitute the Iraqi Ba'th Party.
