Abdul Reza Shahlai is Deputy Commander in the Iranian Revolutionary Guard-Qods Force (IRGC-QF) implicated in acts of terrorism, including through support for designated terrorist organisations. He has been accused of coordinating the attempted assassination of Adel al-Jubeir, the Saudi ambassador to the US in 2011.
