Regulation 46Z16V(1): relevant processed synthetic diamonds means synthetic diamonds which are equal to, or larger than, 0.5 carats, were manufactured in Russia, and have been processed in a third country. Paragraph 1 of Schedule 3 applies for the purposes of interpreting the definition of synthetic diamonds in paragraph (1). For the purposes of this Chapter, synthetic diamonds are processed where they are— a altered; b transformed in any way; or c subjected to any other type of operation or process. Chapter 4JD includes prohibitions on import, technical assistance, financial services and funds, and brokering services; relevant prohibitions are subject to Part 7 (Exceptions and licences).
