Radar and laser radar systems, including altimeters, designed or modified for use in the systems specified in 1.A. Technical Note: Laser radar systems embody specialised transmission, scanning, receiving and signal processing techniques for utilisation of lasers for echo ranging, direction finding and discrimination of targets by location, radial speed and body reflection characteristics.
Precision tracking systems, usable for systems specified in 1.A., 19.A.1. or 19.A.2. as follows:a. Tracking systems which use a code translator installed on the rocket or unmanned aerial vehicle in conjunction with either surface or airborne references or navigation satellite systems to provide real-time measurements of inflight position and velocity;b. Range instrumentation radars including associated optical/infrared trackers with all of the following capabilities:1. Angular resolution better than 1,5 mrad;2. Range of 30 km or greater with a range resolution better than 10 m rms; and3. Velocity resolution better than 3 m/s.
