1 Fermenters capable of cultivation of pathogenic micro-organisms or viruses or for toxic production, without the propagation of aerosols, having a capacity of 5 litres or more but less than 20 litres. 2 For the purpose of sub-paragraph (1)— “fermenters” include bioreactors, chemostats and continuous-flow systems; “micro-organisms” has the same meaning that it has in the Dual-Use Regulation.
